What Mîmar is
Mîmar is a register and marketplace operated by ANKIDA that connects clients with independently verified architects and offices in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Mîmar is not a party to any agreement between a client and an architect and does not supervise their work.
Verification
A “Verified” badge means Mîmar reviewed the member’s national ID and Engineers Syndicate membership card at the time of approval. It is not a guarantee of quality, availability, or outcome. Members must keep their information accurate and may be suspended for misrepresentation.
Members’ content
Members only upload work they have the right to show and label it truthfully (built, under construction, concept; their role). Mîmar may remove content that is misleading, copied, or unlawful. Members grant Mîmar a licence to display their content on the platform and in its promotion.
Content guidelines
Images: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 12 per project. Files are automatically resized for the web (longest side 2,000 px); keep your originals. Use landscape images where possible; the first image is the cover. No watermarks from other studios, no stock photos presented as your work, and no client names or addresses without their consent. Profile photo or logo: square, at least 400 × 400 px. Text: keep names, cities and project facts accurate; we may edit obvious typos.
Fees
Mîmar is free for clients. Architects and offices pay a membership fee after their free period, and optional fees for sponsored placements and learning listings. Fees are shown before you request a service, are paid by bank transfer or card apps, and are non-refundable once the service is activated.
Conduct
No harassment, spam, fake profiles, fake reviews, or contacting members for purposes other than a genuine project. Mîmar may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
Liability
Mîmar provides the platform “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Mîmar is not liable for the work, conduct, or payments between clients and members. Disputes between a client and an architect are between them; we will help where we reasonably can.
